About Chart the Magic
We're a small, independent team of real Disney World planners who got tired of watching friends and family overpay, overplan, and under-enjoy. So we built the guide we wished we'd had.

What we do
We write in-depth guides, build free planning tools, and review every resort, ride, restaurant, and strategy ourselves. Our coverage includes trip planning, budgeting, dining reservations, Lightning Lane strategy, resort comparisons, transportation, and seasonal events. Everything on the site is produced by humans who actually visit the parks — not AI-generated or scraped from elsewhere.
How we make money
Chart the Magic is free to read. We support the site through affiliate partnerships with travel services (hotels, ticket resellers, trip-planning tools) and a small premium membership. When you book through one of our affiliate links, we may earn a commission at no additional cost to you. We never accept payment from Disney or from resorts in exchange for coverage, and our rankings, reviews, and recommendations are editorially independent.
Our editorial standards
Every guide is written from firsthand experience. We visit the parks, eat the meals, stay in the resorts, and ride the rides ourselves before writing about them. Prices, policies, and operational details are cross-checked against Disney's official sources at publication time, but Disney changes things often — so we include "last updated" timestamps and re-verify our most popular guides quarterly. If you spot something out of date, please let us know.
Who we are
Chart the Magic was founded by Cody Flynn, a writer and lifelong Disney-parks planner. The site launched in 2026 after years of Cody building unofficial trip plans for friends and family and realizing the existing planning guides either required paid subscriptions to get the good stuff or buried the useful parts under affiliate SEO fluff.
